Doğanlar Furniture Group Signs “UN Women” (United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women) Agreement
By signing the “UN Women” (United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women) Agreement, Doğanlar Furniture Group pledged to support the empowerment of women in all sectors and at all levels to ensure their participation in economic life.
In the past months, Doğanlar Furniture Group formalized the importance it attaches to the environment and sustainability by signing the UN Global Compact, the world’s most inclusive sustainability platform. The Group recently signed the UN Women (United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women) Agreement. UN Women, a United Nations organization that presents key considerations for achieving gender equality across society, ensures that these issues are managed with an institutional approach.
İsmail Doğan, CEO of Doğanlar Furniture Group, one of the leading players in the furniture industry, said, “With UN Women, we have put our signature under important titles such as creating the most comprehensive talent pool, increasing competitive skills, and fulfilling our duties in terms of corporate social responsibility and sustainability in order to establish consumption between women and men. Thus, as Doğanlar Furniture Group, with all our brands, we have declared our support to promote cost-effective economic and social conditions for women, men, girls and boys, and to accelerate the national sustainable development for which we operate. We will continue to work with all our strength to this end.”
