Ahmet Gürsoy graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of Boğaziçi Üniversitesi in 1992; he received his MBA from University of Birmingham in 1993 and completed his PhD in Management and Organization at Kocaeli Üniversitesi in 2008. Throughout his professional career, he has held leadership positions responsible for supply chain and operations across various sectors including retail, furniture, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and e-commerce.

Since November 2025, Ahmet Gürsoy has been serving as a partner at Varel Bilişim Teknolojileri ve Yönetim Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi. During the fall semester of 2025, he worked as a lecturer at İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesi. Between February 2023 and July 2024, Ahmet Gürsoy served as Chief Supply Chain Officer (“CSCO”) at Yeni Mağazacılık Anonim Şirketi. Prior to that, between February 2021 and February 2023, he worked as CSCO at Modanisa Elektronik Mağazacılık ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi. From May 2018 to February 2021, he served as Chief Operations Officer (“COO”) at LC Waikiki Mağazacılık Hizmetleri Ticaret Anonim Şirketi and was also a member of the company’s board of directors during the same period. Between October 2016 and May 2018, he served as COO at DSM Grup Danışmanlık İletişim ve Satış Ticaret Anonim Şirketi and was also a board member of Trendyol Express. Between December 2015 and September 2016, he worked as Operations Director at Doğanlar Mobilya Grubu Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş..
